Dr. Richard Freed is a licensed psychologist (Lic # PSY-16886) and author with nearly 20 years of experience helping people reach their full potential. Prior to completing his training at Cambridge Hospital—Harvard Medical School, he attended the California School of Professional Psychology.
Dr. Freed speaks nationally on the subject of children’s health; his work has been published in the journal Pediatrics and Mothering Magazine; and he has appeared on CBS Bay Area TV News. He also has been quoted in The Boston Globe, the Contra Costa Times, and other news publications. Dr. Freed lives in Walnut Creek with his wife and two daughters.
Richard Freed, Ph.D., is the author of the upcoming book: The Sex, Violence, and Junk Food Diet: What the Media Industry Is Feeding Our Kids and What To Do About It. The book teaches parents how to protect their children from the many health risks associated with children’s media use: including violence, obesity, learning problems, and body image disturbance/eating disorders.
